Military Controls IPT Leader

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Military Controls Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to drive the development of innovative control systems for advanced military programs. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background and proven ability to manage complex projects. The successful candidate will lead a cross‑functional team through the design, verification, and qualification phases, ensuring delivery of high‑quality hardware and software solutions that meet program requirements.

• Lead the development of cutting‑edge control system designs for military applications.
• Drive the team through all phases of the product lifecycle, including design, verification, and qualification.
• Ensure alignment with program objectives, technical requirements, and customer expectations.
• Coordinate and lead a multidisciplinary controls team, including hardware component designers and software developers.
• Foster collaboration and communication across teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software development efforts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, leveraging a strong background in control systems and project management.
• Oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions to meet program challenges.
• Shape technical and program strategies to ensure successful execution and delivery of program milestones.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with broader program goals and customer needs.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to address technical or schedule challenges.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in controls engineering.
• Must obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
• Access to U.S. export‑controlled information required; applicant must demonstrate status of a U.S. Person (e.g., U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or granted asylum/refugee status).

• Familiarity with military programs and requirements.
• Experience with verification and qualification processes for hardware and software systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to aerospace and defense.
• Strong background in control systems design, development, and integration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams through hardware and/or software development processes.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
