FMS Systems Engineer; Engineering Management Support

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a FMS System Engineer supporting the ISR Sensors Division (AFLCMC/WIN) at Wright‑Patterson AFB, OH. WIN is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI), which is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms and related sub‑systems.

This is a full‑time position onsite at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Possess advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in FMS Engineering Management Support. Must work independently and be able to apply procedures.
• Translate FMS user requirements into system requirements which will be used by the weapon system contractor to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment.
• Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements, develop system concepts, and perform technological/trade‑off study assessments of proposed designs.
• Assist with processes for drafting project documentation including SOOs and SOWs, program plans, schedules, and presentations.
• Assist in drafting regulatory and statutory documentation to include, but not be limited to, the SEP and life cycle management plan.
• Assist in reviewing Contractor documents and data and providing comments.
• Assist test teams in the development of test requirements and reviewing test plans.
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility, and system compatibility.
• Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life‑cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade‑off studies.
• Assist in supporting the evaluation of IMP, IMS, and SEDS engineering cost estimates.
• Assist in evaluating systems test plans (such as systems test plans/TEMPs) and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing.
• Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment.

  Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Clearance:
  Must have, at the time of application, a minimum of a Secret clearance.

  Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of related experience with no degree.
