Overview
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern! The Supply Chain Operations Internship offers distinct roles based on your major and field of interest. In this role you will be responsible for key elements involved in supply chain related daily operations, including materials management (forecasting, planning, fulfillment, logistics, and distribution) and sourcing (strategic commodity management, contract structuring, negotiation, supplier management) within your assigned site.
Responsibilities- Learn and understand state‑of‑the‑art methods of manufacturing.
- Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or overall engine assembly.
- Maintain high‑quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and application of statistical controls.
- Ensure safe work conditions through Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.
- Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity, on‑time delivery, process capability, and stable operations in a demanding environment.
- Support delivery efforts for sourced components by working with our shops and suppliers while building project management, negotiation, and business‑acumen skills.
- Prior GE Aerospace internship experience required.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Attending a full‑time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors listed below).
- Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
- Reliable transportation, as many sites do not have public transportation available.
- Degrees accepted:
Computer Engineering, Business Administration with Operations or Supply Chain focus, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or any relevant or similar major. - Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. The company will not sponsor employment visas.

- Hourly pay rates start at $24/hour and increase with each undergraduate year completed.
- Relocation support and housing assistance available for those who relocate to a new city.
