Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer/Engineer with strong proficiency in Solidworks to support the design, development, and documentation of mechanical components and assemblies. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to translate concepts into accurate, production‑ready designs.
Responsibilities- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Solid Works.
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and layouts.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and BOMs.
- Revise and maintain existing designs based on engineering changes.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturability requirements.
- Support prototype development and design validation efforts.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Maintain organized design files and documentation.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Solidworks (2D and 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
This is a Contract position based out of Port Clinton, OH.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
