Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing and optimizing piping and mechanical systems for process-control environments involving liquids or gases.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, modeling, and analysis of piping systems, ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.
- Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
- Perform fluid dynamics and structural analyses using CFD and FEA tools to validate system integrity under various conditions.
- Coordinate project phases, support procurement, and participate in safety and quality reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot equipment issues, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience in piping/fluid systems, and proficiency in analysis tools.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Knowledge of pressure calculations, fluid mechanics, and materials science, with experience in regulated industries preferred.
