Job Overview
Interns will gain hands‑on experience working with the Aftermarket Solutions team to remanufacture end‑of‑life or failed semitruck engines and transmissions. They will explore the various parts that make up an engine and how they are maintained and reconstructed to provide customers with the highest quality possible. Interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full‑time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.
Key Responsibilities- Use problem‑solving techniques to analyze manufacturing challenges and recommend solutions.
- Work closely with manufacturing to develop and implement solutions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement through lean activities, workshops, and blitzes.
- Draft and design tooling, fixtures, and workstations to meet desired needs.
- Support engineering by developing competency in precision machining and gauging.
- Perform Gage R&R and machine qualifications, and interpret statistical data.
- Execute industrial engineering tasks including time studies, plant layout, and ergonomic workstation development.
- Collaborate with other departments, vendors, staff, and management regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Contribute to a safety culture that encourages innovative methods to ensure workplace safety.
- Assist in manufacturing process documentation such as routing, BOM, and work instructions.
- Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or recently graduated within the last year of the position start date (August/September 2026).
- Must be part of a Co‑Op Internship program through your current college/university.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to read and create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Competency in AutoCAD and NX.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative mindset with an ability to innovate.

Byesville, OH, US. Position is onsite. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
