Physico-Chemical Analysis Laboratory Job

Your role involves conducting physico-chemical characterizations, including chemical, thermal, morphological, and structural analyses for various Group entities and CRI researchers. You will manage the NMR activity applied to the analysis of Hutchinson Group materials, such as elastomers, thermoplastics, and adhesives.

You will also develop new NMR analysis methods, including solid-state NMR and projects for analyzing renewable materials (recycled, regenerated, etc.). These methods may be developed through external collaborations.

Your main duties within the Physico-Chemical Analysis Laboratory include:

• Piloting the NMR activity and supervising the team (2 technicians and 1 apprentice)
• Advising and guiding internal clients on the most suitable analysis techniques for their material issues
• Conducting technological surveillance in the field of NMR, renewable material characterization, and structural material analysis, and disseminating this information to internal clients and the Research and Innovation Department
• Participating in the proposals for annual research programs and budgets for NMR operations and investments

You hold a doctorate in chemistry or polymer physics and have research experience in NMR. Ideally, you have experience in liquid NMR and/or solid-state NMR applied to the structural characterization of polymers, for example, using MQ approaches followed by transverse relaxations.

You are autonomous, rigorous, a proactive team player, and capable of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
