Quality Engineer I

We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to join our manufacturing quality team. This role is critical in driving effective quality systems, resolving customer issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in metals or materials production.

• Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve quality-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, etc.
• Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Participate in internal and external audits, documentation, and calibration processes
• Ensure compliance with quality standards such as:
  • ISO 9001
  • AS9100D
  • ISO 17025
• Work cross-functionally to improve efficiency, yield, and process performance
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (metals/materials preferred)
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Hands-on experience with ETQ (Quality Management Software) – Required
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science
• Experience in metals or materials production environments
• Ability to train team members on quality processes and standards
