Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to join our manufacturing quality team. This role is critical in driving effective quality systems, resolving customer issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in metals or materials production.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve quality-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, etc.
- Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Participate in internal and external audits, documentation, and calibration processes
- Ensure compliance with quality standards such as:
- ISO 9001
- AS9100D
- ISO 17025
- Work cross-functionally to improve efficiency, yield, and process performance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (metals/materials preferred)
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Hands-on experience with ETQ (Quality Management Software) – Required
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science
- Experience in metals or materials production environments
- Ability to train team members on quality processes and standards
