Responsibilities

• In-service and final measurements of glass and copper lines including work on high-voltage influenced telecommunication cable systems in the pipeline and power plant area
• Setup and operation of structured building cabling (CAT
  7) including certified acceptance measurements
• Fault location measurements and recordings of operating conditions in the copper networks and fiber optic networks (certified quality measurements)
• Complex assembly tasks including modifications of end closures, distributors, sleeves, network connection technology in the copper and fiber optic area
• Documentation and measurement of cable sleeves and empty tube occupancy as well as maintenance of passive communication networks
• Measurements of fiber optic networks to optimize quality as well as copper cables/lines in the NRW network to improve transmission quality
• Localization and on-site elimination of faults and de-faulting of above and underground message cable systems as well as independent management and coordination of external assembly and de-faulting measures
• Order acceptance and order billing in SAP

Requirements

• Successfully completed training as an electronic technician for operational technology with a focus on telecommunications/communication networks, electronic technician for information and telecommunications technology or telecommunication craftsman/telecommunication assembler
• Several years of professional experience in the relevant field of activity
• Solid knowledge in the area of CAT-7/structured building cabling
• Experience in certified measurements (e.g., LWL-OTDR, attenuation and quality measurements)
• Independent, flexible and reliable working style as well as a high level of problem-solving ability, technical understanding and customer orientation
