Process Engineer
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to hire a Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, Campus Norte. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Engineer role involves process engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality, and delivery improvements to sustain a manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
- Participation in daily production activities for NPI and Mass Production.
- Support in the implementation of engineering changes (ECO).
- Develop, apply, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues.
- Participate in activities related to cycle time and process improvements.
- Apply statistical process research on new and existing products.
- Implement safety, productivity, and performance improvements.
- Continuously develop manufacturing techniques that enhance internal capabilities and performance.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Interface with production on all activities associated with the implementation and transfer of new processes.
- Assist in the development of training and deliver training to production personnel during the transfer of new products and sustaining products.
- Guide cost improvement/reduction programs.
- Direct contact with the customer.
- Fixture and poka-yoke design.
- Apply SPC and Pareto analysis to monitor and improve process performance.
- Lead improvement projects focused on defect and waste reduction.
- Strong knowledge of SMT and PTH assembly processes.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- Completed Engineering degree or Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience in similar roles (Electronics Industry).
- Conversational English.
- Experience in NPI and Mass Production.
- IPC knowledge.
- Knowledge of assembly processes (End to End).
- Mini Tab knowledge is a plus.
- PFMEA knowledge is a plus.
- DOE and process validation is a plus.
- Stencil, Pressfit Fixture and OLA pallet design.
