Drafter

We are seeking a Drafter to support electro-mechanical product design through detailed drafting and engineering documentation. This role goes beyond basic drafting, involving BOM management, engineering change implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work closely with Design Engineers and teams such as Production, Quality, and Planning to ensure accuracy, consistency, and manufacturability across all deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Solid Works
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), assemblies, and part structures
• Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) accurately
• Apply drafting and design standards to ensure manufacturability
• Prepare complete drawing packages for production release
• Review drawings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Planning)
• Maintain data integrity across CAD, PDM, and ERP systems
• Support standard product updates and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements:

• English Advanced
• 2–5 years of experience in drafting within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong proficiency in Solid Works (assemblies, configurations, drawings)
• Experience with BOMs, ECOs, and part structures
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and PDM systems
• Understanding of drafting standards and GD&T basics
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
• Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
