Fire Protection Engineer (Direct Hire) | $140,000 - $160,000
Are you a skilled Fire Protection Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact in a highly regulated industrial environment? Join a team where your expertise in fire protection systems, life safety compliance, and risk management will help safeguard critical operations and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and maintain fire protection programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Perform fire hazard analyses, risk assessments, and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Review and approve fire protection system designs, calculations, drawings, and vendor submittals.
- Oversee inspection, testing, maintenance (ITM), commissioning, and acceptance testing of fire protection and life safety systems.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives, fire prevention programs, and coordination with emergency response teams.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Drive corrective actions, reliability improvements, and continuous program enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of fire protection engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, nuclear, DOE, or other regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, system design, and life safety requirements.
- Experience reviewing hydraulic calculations, alarm/detection systems, and fire protection drawings.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance.
- PE license and experience with special hazard systems are highly preferred.
- Manufacturing, assembly, high-vacuum systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
