Job Description ## Shape the Future of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing As GES Process Lead (f/m/d), you will provide end-to-end leadership for process engineering and manufacturing design across a major capital project. From early concept development through detailed design, commissioning, qualification, and operational handover, you will ensure that manufacturing systems are safe, compliant, scalable, and ready to deliver for patients.
This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, and stakeholder management. You will work at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, Quality, Automation, and Science & Technology, driving critical decisions that influence project success, operational readiness, and long-term business performance.### Primary Responsibilities
* Lead process engineering activities from concept design through startup and handover to Operations.
* Translate manufacturing requirements into robust process and equipment designs that meet safety, quality, compliance, and operational objectives.
* Own key process engineering deliverables, including process design documentation, equipment specifications, process risk assessments, and control strategies.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Quality, CQV, Automation, and external partners.
* Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, company standards, engineering best practices, and regulatory expectations.
* Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and design decisions to support project execution and operational readiness.
* Guide process equipment selection, implementation, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
* Provide leadership to Suite Leads and Process Package Owners, ensuring alignment across project work streams.
* Support governance, issue resolution, escalation management, project schedule adherence, and sustainable knowledge transfer to site operations.### Required Experience & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, vaccine, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
* Demonstrated success leading process engineering work streams on complex capital projects.
* Strong understanding of GMP, process design, commissioning, qualification, and validation principles.
* Experience driving decisions and delivering results in large, cross-functional project teams.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
* Ability to navigate complexity, influence across functions, and maintain focus on business outcomes.###
