Our client is looking to hire a process engineer for their team in McConnelsville, Ohio. Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing high‑precision, high‑strength components for a wide range of industries.
The process engineer would be responsible for supporting product and process development across all manufacturing stages, with a strong focus on process monitoring, controls, FMEA integration, and gauging methods.
Qualified candidates would have experience with CMM gauges, measurement systems, mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, product development, and hydraulics and pneumatics.
Job Requirements Process Development & Technical Support- Support process monitoring and control efforts to maintain the highest level of product quality.
- Contribute to process FMEAs, ensuring proper linkage between controls and inspection strategies.
- Provide technical support and act as a liaison among Solutions Team Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production personnel.
- Improve processes used for development, communication, and implementation.
- Carry out assigned responsibilities in support of production processes.
- Participate in scrap reduction and waste minimization projects.
- Attend daily production meetings to contribute to resolution of technical issues.
- Author, update, and maintain process work instructions and failure catalogs.
- Coordinate and oversee technical activities required to support production.
- Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Lead or participate in corrective action reports and 8D problem solving with customers or suppliers as required.
- Support employees in implementing safety related requirements.
- Motivate employees to report unsafe situations and model safe working behavior.
- Monitor and manage safe equipment operation.
- Contribute to risk identification and the creation of associated safety instructions.
- Maintain active information exchange with peers throughout the Group network.
- Travel internationally to other plants when required to leverage shared knowledge and best practices.
- Coach and mentor peers and manufacturing colleagues on processes and equipment.
- Create training materials covering equipment operation and processes.
- Conduct employee training on proper and safe use of equipment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, gauging methods, and process control systems.
- Familiarity with FMEA methodology and its connection to process controls.
- Technical troubleshooting ability across mechanical and process issues.
- Experience authoring clear work instructions and technical documentation.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration.
- Coaching and mentoring ability.
- Organization, attention to detail, and problem solving mindset.
