PhD Student in Radar Interference Avoidance:
Investigating and developing signal processing algorithms to mitigate interference in automotive radar sensors with an accent on understanding physical radar operation and defining multi-car scenarios. Focus on exploiting and developing algorithms for interference mitigation and characterizing interference situations.

Onsite in Dresden, Germany

What you will do- Investigate the influence of radar interference from other vehicles.
- Study ways to prevent interference or minimize its impact for reliable sensing using safety-critical radar sensors.
- Simulate modelled traffic scenarios and/or measure on real hardware.
- Assess interference mitigation approaches with respect to their usefulness.
- Work alongside NXP’s radar development team in Dresden, closely connected with NXP innovation teams.
- Receive scientific supervision from the Chair of Electronic Systems and Sensors at Brandenburg University of Technology.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
. - Profound mathematical skills are a must
. - Experience in simulation for signal processing, image processing, and/or neural networks are desirable.
- Experience with MATLAB and/or Python will be helpful.
