Position SummaryPSG, a fast‑growing construction and infrastructure firm specializing in mission‑critical environments, is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team delivering high‑performance data center projects in Ohio. You will be responsible for the design, coordination, and construction support of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in mission‑critical facilities.
This role will initially support a 6‑month data center construction project based in Lordstown, Ohio, with a strong pipeline of follow‑on projects nationwide. This is not a short‑term assignment—upon successful completion of the first project, you will transition directly to subsequent projects, offering long‑term career stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design and coordinate MEP systems for data center facilities
- Develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Coordinate closely with structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals from contractors
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve field MEP issues
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, client standards, and project requirements
- Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering
- Conduct site visits to verify installation quality and system performance
- Support commissioning and startup of MEP systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 5 years of MEP design experience
- Experience on data center or mission‑critical projects is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering calculation software
- Familiar with relevant codes including IBC, IMC, NEC, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards
