The company is seeking experienced automotive engineering specialists to support client-facing technical engagements, including engineering workshops, specification reviews, and technical cost analyses.
This role is intended for senior engineering professionals with deep component-level expertise who can help identify engineering improvements and cost optimization opportunities throughout the product development lifecycle.
The RoleThe Automotive Engineer will provide technical expertise during engineering workshops, evaluate component specifications, identify cost reduction opportunities, and assess the feasibility of engineering changes.
The role requires extensive hand-on automotive engineering experience, strong collaboration with engineering and procurement teams, and the ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations for clients.
Key Responsibilities Technical Engineering- Review engineering specifications and identify areas of over-engineering.
- Challenge engineering assumptions, testing timelines, and certification requirements.
- Assess the feasibility of proposed engineering changes.
- Support Design-to-Value (DtV) and module-level engineering workshops.
- Identify technical cost reduction opportunities.
- Support opportunity sizing and cost analysis.
- Translate engineering expertise into actionable cost-saving recommendations.
- Participate in technical workshops with client engineering teams.
- Collaborate with suppliers, engineering teams, and procurement stakeholders.
- Provide expert input throughout concept development, validation, industrialization, and Start of Production (SOP).
- 10-20 years of hand-on automotive engineering experience.
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, Module Owner, Component Owner, or Senior Technical Specialist.
- Background with an OEM or Tier-1 automotive supplier.
- Deep expertise in one or more automotive components or modules.
- Experience across the full product lifecycle, including concept development, validation, industrialization, and SOP.
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering and procurement teams.
- Comfortable participating in client-facing technical workshops.
