Location: Raymond

Honda is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in Automotive Infotainment (IVI) systems to join its engineering team in Raymond, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical design using CATIA and hands‑on experience developing automotive interior or infotainment components. This role involves working with cross‑functional teams to support product design, packaging, validation, and release activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components for Automotive Infotainment (IVI) systems.
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA.
  • Perform packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and design feasibility assessments.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in design reviews and implement engineering change requests.
  • Ensure designs comply with Honda engineering standards and automotive quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to support component development and production readiness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of automotive mechanical design experience.
  • Strong proficiency in CATIA (Part Design, Assembly Design, Drafting).
  • Experience working on Automotive Infotainment (IVI) systems or interior electronic modules.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up, and DFMEA.
  • Experience with product development from concept through production.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Honda or other OEM automotive development processes.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and engineering change management.
  • Understanding of automotive validation and testing processes.
