Manager, Transmission Line Engineering

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a Manager, Transmission Line Engineering to lead high-voltage transmission line design and standards for utility and energy projects. In this role, you will oversee engineering deliverables, guide route selection and structure design, ensure compliance with NESC and utility standards, and support construction and field teams. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with substation and construction groups, and champion our safety-first, employee-owned culture while helping shape critical power infrastructure across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-voltage transmission line engineering for utility and energy projects
• Oversee route selection, structure and foundation design, and line standards
• Ensure compliance with NESC, utility, and company engineering and safety standards
• Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and construction packages
• Coordinate with substation, construction, and field teams to support execution
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineers and designers
• Manage project schedules, priorities, and resources for transmission line work
• Support estimating, proposals, and client technical discussions
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, methods, and quality control
• Promote and enforce a safety-first, employee-owned culture across all project activities
