Position: Process Engineer I
Location: Elmore

Materion Corporation seeks a Process Engineer I to support advanced materials manufacturing for aerospace, electronics, energy, and industrial customers. In this entry-level role, you will monitor and improve production processes, analyze data, and help drive safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives. Working closely with operations, quality, and maintenance teams, you will troubleshoot issues, document process changes, and assist with trials and scale-up activities.

This role offers hands-on experience in a global, innovation-driven environment focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support production processes for advanced materials manufacturing to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and best practices on the production floor
  • Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve process issues and support daily operations
  • Participate in trials, experiments, and qualification runs for new materials, equipment, or process changes
  • Document process changes, results, and recommendations in technical reports and presentations
  • Support implementation of Lean and Six Sigma methods to reduce waste and variability
  • Monitor key process indicators and support corrective actions when targets are not met
  • Assist with equipment capability studies, process validation, and scale-up activities
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
