Position: Powertrain Test Engineer L1 (JIH5JP00004637)
Location: Raymond

Position Summary

Experienced Powertrain Test Engineer with expertise in engine, transmission, hybrid, and electrified powertrain validation. Responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting component, subsystem, and vehicle-level testing activities to support product development, performance validation, durability, emissions compliance, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute powertrain test plans for engines, transmissions, driveline, hybrid and EV propulsion systems.
  • Conduct performance, durability, reliability, thermal, NVH, emissions, and calibration validation tests.
  • Support vehicle-level and dynamometer-based testing activities.
  • Analyze test data, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design, calibration, controls, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
  • Validate compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal engineering requirements.
  • Prepare test reports, engineering documentation, and management presentations.
  • Support issue investigation, troubleshooting, DVP&R execution, and product launch activities.
  • Coordinate test schedules, instrumentation setup, and laboratory resources.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years (Mid-Level) or 5+ years (Senior Level) of automotive powertrain testing experience.
  • Experience with ICE, Hybrid, or EV propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive development processes and validation standards.
