A global automotive company in Raymond, OH is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, integration, and validation of advanced vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in automotive testing and systems engineering, with a focus on ECU development, network communication, and ADAS validation.
- Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and execute test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems - Design test setups, configure data acquisition systems, and establish test specifications and schedules
- Conduct moderately complex testing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and repeatability of results
- Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate performance, durability, and failure modes
- Identify system or component issues and develop corrective actions or engineering countermeasures
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to engineering and cross-functional teams
- Support design feasibility studies and validate that components meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product design
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and internal validation processes
- Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of test engineering experience in automotive systems, testing, or validation. Equivalent experience may be substituted (6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree). - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
- Strong experience in automotive ECU development and system integration
- Working knowledge of CAN and Automotive Ethernet communication networks
- Experience with ADAS systems development, testing, and validation
- Proficiency in vehicle-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANoe or similar platforms)
- Ability to interpret and review technical requirements and system specifications
- Understanding of diagnostic communication protocols and fault management systems
- Experience in test planning, execution, documentation, and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a self-starter mindset
- Experience working with suppliers and global engineering teams
- Detail-oriented with a focus on test accuracy, repeatability, and validation rigor
