Wellfield Manager

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Wellfield Manager to oversee landfill gas collection systems supporting safe, reliable waste and recycling operations. This role manages daily monitoring, tuning, and maintenance of wellfield infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance, system optimization, and environmental performance. The Wellfield Manager will lead technicians, coordinate with operations and engineering, track data trends, and support sustainability goals. The ideal candidate brings landfill gas or industrial systems experience, strong safety focus, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, monitoring, and tuning of landfill gas wellfield systems.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, air quality, and safety regulations.
• Lead and schedule wellfield technicians and coordinate field activities.
• Perform or oversee maintenance on wells, headers, blowers, and related equipment.
• Analyze system data to optimize gas collection efficiency and minimize emissions.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and environmental teams on projects and improvements.
• Prepare and maintain logs, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
• Support implementation of safety programs and conduct field safety inspections.
• Assist with capital projects, expansions, and system upgrades for the wellfield.
• Train staff on proper operation, monitoring, and safety procedures for wellfield systems.
