Location: Patterson
Flight Test and Evaluation Manager for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM, F‑16 division at Wright‑Patterson AFB, OH.
Responsibilities- Assist in the design, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of test and evaluation to assess performance of F‑16 systems, subsystems, and equipment across acquisition phases.
- Prepare, maintain, update, and review test documentation for compliance with specifications, performance requirements, and mandatory guidance.
- Develop plans to ensure execution and support the flight test program for F‑16 FMS programs, working closely with engineering, logistics, flight test community, and Lead Development Test Organization.
- Manage all phases of the flight test program, analyze technical and contractual requirements, and formulate test strategies and methodologies to verify requirements.
- Support flight test and associated meetings (TIPT, ITT, etc.), including briefing preparation, logistics, and minutes.
- Forecast and acquire required munitions, aircraft and ground equipment, and coordinate delivery of government‑furnished equipment.
- Coordinate actions of contractors, DoD representatives, developmental test personnel, and other test agencies.
- Review flight test video and data to assess anomalies, recommend suspension of flight testing if needed, and provide process improvement recommendations.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze FMS documentation in compliance with USG and FMS policy, ensuring airworthiness and SEEK EAGLE flight clearance requirements are met.
- Track cost, schedule, and provide status reports on program expenditures to the program manager.
- Travel within CONUS/OCONUS to support engineering meetings, test planning, and observation of test missions.
- Assist in reviewing classified and foreign‑sharing documentation and coordinate releases with the foreign‑disclosure office.
- Active top‑secret clearance.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline, with a minimum of five years in the DoD; or
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 12 years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline, with five years in the DoD; or
- Fifteen years of directly related experience with proper certifications, eight of which are in the DoD.
- Minimum of three years of experience planning or conducting military flight test programs.
- Expertise in planning, directing, and integrating all aspects of test and evaluation for acquisition and deployment of aeronautical weapons systems.
