Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated Quarry Mining Engineering Intern to join our team. This opportunity provides hands‑on experience supporting quarry operations, mine planning, process improvement initiatives, and operational excellence projects within a dynamic aggregates environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Assist in the planning and execution of quarry mining operations.
- Conduct field surveys and collect operational data for analysis and reporting.
- Support mine planning, production monitoring, and project implementation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify safety and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations related to operational performance.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret data and apply technical concepts to operational challenges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Work EnvironmentRole operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
What We Offer- Competitive hourly wage of $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
