Education

A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

A minimum of one year with consumer or commercial loan processing or loan servicing preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for receiving and accurately servicing all consumer, commercial, agricultural, and SBA loan files; coordinating work within the unit or department, and with other departments and units; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries from customers and internal associates or requests for information.

Essential Duties
  • Perform primary or backup functions for various duties including pre-booking, booking, servicing, and processing payoffs for all loans.
  • Receive and accurately maintain servicing of loan files through:
    • Processing and monitoring loan payoffs, adjustments, and modifications.
    • Reconciling servicing general ledger accounts, clearing exceptions, and resolving issues.
    • Assisting with loan disbursements and reconciliations.
    • Assisting with set up and maintenance of servicing system.
    • Conducting research analysis and offering solutions to borrower and internal inquiries on loan status.
    • Assisting bank personnel regarding the servicing of loans; responding to operations questions.
    • Monitoring insurance requirements.
    • Processing payments with participant banks.
    • Monitoring construction loans.
    • Ordering appraisals.
    • SBA 1502 reporting and payoff reporting.
    • Demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
    • Demonstrating deep attention to detail and escalating situations through management when necessary.
    • Complying with bank policy and supporting leadership goals professionally and positively.
    • Assisting supervisor with duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate departmental tasks with coworkers inside and outside the department to ensure efficient process and completion of essential tasks with proper segregation of duties.
  • Report pertinent information to immediate supervisor per schedule and compile information as required.
  • Respond to inquiries within given time frames and according to established policy.
  • Abide by current laws and policies to promote a work environment free of sexual harassment and discriminatory behavior.
  • Cooperate with and support adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, overall safety and soundness, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as CRA, BSA, and ECA.
Ancillary Duties
  • Perform supportive tasks to essential functions, which may be altered or redesigned depending on circumstances.
  • Require prolonged periods of sitting to perform most essential duties.
