We are seeking a Full-Time Teller at our Gibsonburg Branch. Under the direction of the Head Teller, the Teller supports the company’s core values and focuses on providing an exceptional client experience. The Teller performs comprehensive cash receipt and payment services in accordance with financial institution procedures and handles client savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as related services such as cashier’s checks and gift cards.
The Teller also offers and opens deposit products and refers other bank products to the appropriate team members.

- Perform comprehensive, prompt, and efficient client transactions and services.
- Assist clients with resolution of account problems and issues.
- Receive checks for cash and deposits, verify amounts, examine checks for endorsement and possible fraud, and enter deposits into the system.
- Cascade cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pay out money after verification of client and balances.
- Recommend bank products (including checking accounts) using the Service Excellence Process and ask for business.
- Identify sales opportunities at the Teller counter and drive-thru; refer to other team members for products you cannot open yourself.
- Participate in sales goals for items such as debit/credit cards, digital and mobile banking, and referrals for other bank products and services.
- Offer, open, and refer other financial products such as loans, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, IRAs, CDs, safe deposit boxes, and related services where appropriate.
- Cross-sell financial services (e.g., safe deposit boxes, online & mobile banking, etc.).
- Receive and process mortgage and consumer loan payments and ensure accuracy against balances due.
- Place holds on accounts as necessary for uncollected funds.
- Count, verify, and package coin and currency for vault and Fed deposits.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Assist with night depository procedures and banking-by-mail as available.
- Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date on changes in products, policies, and procedures; attend trainings as needed.
- Ensure Teller station is orderly and stocked with forms and supplies.
- Report malfunctions of Teller terminals and equipment.
- May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with contacts, clients, and team members.
- Contribute to department and company objectives and goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
