Job Description About the role
A specialist enterprise financial services advisory firm is seeking a Finance & HR Operations Specialist to join its Country-area team in a hybrid working model. This role suits a self-driven Professional who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment and can combine careful transactional execution with a broader view of the organisation’s financial health.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of transaction processing.
* Facilitate month-end and year-end close activities in coordination with external tax, legal, and accounting partners.
* Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including billing, invoice posting, bank transfers, and preparatory bookkeeping.
* Support accounts payable and receivable workflows and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
* Provide HR administration and payroll support, prepare HR documentation (contracts, certificates), and manage HR systems while protecting confidentiality and data privacy.
* Produce financial reports and analyses using accounting systems and spreadsheets to support decision-making.
Candidate profile
* Education:
Apprenticeship, Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
* Experience:
1–2 years in finance or accounting roles, preferably within dynamic or growing organisations.
* Technical skills:
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., DATEV, SAP or similar) and strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
* Operational capability:
Hands-on experience with AP/AR, payroll processes, general ledger maintenance, and month/year-end closings.
* Analytical skills:
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in financial data management, and solid problem-solving ability.
* Organisation:
Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
* Languages:
Fluency in English and German.
