Sr. Finance Manager Global Service BU

Job Description

Vertiv, a global leader in network power solutions, seeks a Senior Finance Manager - Global Services Business Unit at its Columbus, OH headquarters. This role serves as the primary Finance business partner for our business unit leaders, leading a global team to provide analysis of plans and results, lead forecasting processes, model business outcomes, and provide business decision support.

• Partner with global business unit leaders to develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Track business unit financial performance (~$2Bn+ Revenue), including monthly variance analysis, reviewing results with the business unit, and conducting ad-hoc investigations.
• Act as Finance gate keeper on NPDI process to evaluate & approve investment requests on new product development.
• Collaborate with other FP&A groups to assist global resource planning and CAPEX planning and tracking.
• Lead financial business plan development and interlock with regions for business units, including completing budget models based on market dynamics and strategic plans.
• Support a 3‑year plan, showcasing technologies Vertiv plans to invest in and the financial implications.
• Prepare executive‑level presentations and work directly with leadership.
• Review ER&D activities to identify continuous improvements.
• Support the broader mission of the finance and accounting function as needed.

• 8–10+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or an MBA required.
• Experience in a large multinational company or a Big‑4 accounting firm preferred.
• Experience managing or supporting a multinational team.
• Strong analytical skills with a scientific/critical thinking approach.
• Strong communication skills, able to discern pertinent data for upper management.
• Ability to communicate with all levels, from the C‑Suite to the shop floor.
• Inquisitive, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system a plus.
• Experience with HFM, Power BI, Tableau, IBM PA, etc. a plus.
