Position Summary
The Financial Reporting Manager will work with the Chief Accounting Officer on the timely and accurate financial reports of the holding company and all affiliates, both individually and on a consolidated basis, along with other financial matters. The individual will research new Accounting Standard Updates (ASUs), prepare accounting memos, and compile the associated documentation for reporting. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, detail orientation, and the ability to effectively multi‑task and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
ObjectivesOf This Role
- Serve internal customers by managing documents, information, and financial transactions in an organized, efficient, and secure manner.
- Build awareness of new accounting rules – GAAP, SAS, and SEC – determining applicability and recommending updates for procedures and adoption timelines.
- Accurate reporting and documentation of transactions at Bank, Bancorp, other companies, and on a consolidated basis.
- Work as a team within the accounting department to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism and supporting management with special requests as needed.
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and attend training as requested.
- GAAP compliance: implement new accounting standards and ensure proper supporting documentation for reporting.
- Valuations: attest to documentation and fairness.
- Tax compliance: maintain awareness and conformity with federal, state, local and corporate laws; prepare returns with assistance from external accountant; complete monthly, quarterly deferred and annual franchise tax calculations and remit all required filings.
- Consolidated annual and quarterly SEC financial reporting: prepare footnote disclosures, MD&A sections and use Active Disclosure; must know iXBRL format.
- Disclosure checklists: complete SEC and GAAP checklists to ensure compliance.
- Manage ledger and financial accounts: audit accounts for errors, correct inconsistencies, and monitor the general ledger for compliance with GAAP and company guidelines.
- SOX: review internal controls and ensure self‑audit tasks are completed.
- Documentation: review financial details from past, present and forecasted operations; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulators to provide information needed for audits.
- Assist with interest rate risk shocks and liquidity risk scenarios.
- Advisory: advise business units on accounting policies.
- Acquisition accounting: serve on acquisition team and ensure transaction recorded correctly; assure correct merger of account information; establish fair values, accretions and amortizations.
- File FDICIA Section 36 and FR Y‑6 annually.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 10–15 years or more of related experience.
- CPA designation required.
- Prior public accounting experience with SEC clients.
- SEC reporting experience, especially with financial institutions, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, mathematical and accounting skills.
- Ability to work on a team and lead initiatives when requested.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized accounting software.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CPA certification.
- Follow bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulation, and guidance.
- Compliance with BSA, AML, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, Customer Identification, Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities.
