Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the credit fulfillment function, coordinating work within the unit or department and with other departments, reporting information to the supervisor, responding to inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Essential Duties
  • Assist with loan application processing, obtaining required information, compiling data, ordering credit reports, and performing rudimentary credit analysis.
  • Collect/review all required financial data prior to submission to the Credit Department and assist with preparation of loan presentations or requests.
  • Interface with vendors to obtain required documentation such as appraisals, title work, UCC search, certificates of good standing, insurance forms, equipment lists, environmental checklists, or lawyer‑prepared documents.
  • Review executed loan documents for accuracy and completeness prior to funding, prepare tickets to fund loan, and confirm funding.
  • Verify a wide variety of credit information that will become part of the credit file.
  • Maintain required information, gather missing documentation, and notify appropriate personnel of credit information deficiencies.
  • Dispense credit information within prescribed policy.
  • Provide information for and assist in the preparation of various loan reports; maintain activity logs to generate weekly or monthly reports.
  • Review pending loan maturity 90 days prior to maturity to ensure no administrative past dues.
  • Partner with Commercial Loan Officer and/or Credit Department Personnel to resolve past due loans, lines of credit, and delinquent taxes.
  • Manage annual reviews; identify/report significant changes in financial status of borrowers, guarantors, or appraised values of real estate.
  • Review assigned Commercial Loan Officer’s portfolio weekly.
  • Meet with customers to obtain signatures and close approved loan.
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence, letters and forms such as commitment letters and letters requesting updated financial information.
  • Interface with loan review/regulators and/or auditors as required or directed by the Chief Credit Officer.
  • Assist with management of imaged Credit File documents to ensure appropriate information is updated and maintained.
  • Contribute to the Company’s growth and customer satisfaction by helping customers to resolve problems with their banking transactions.
  • Assist with Construction Loan disbursement documentation, lien waivers, and inspection tracking.
  • Demonstrate financial literacy: interpret and analyze basic financial documents such as personal statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Possess a working knowledge of title commitments, operating agreements, and entity formation documents; assess ownership and beneficial ownership; determine guarantor requirements; verify authorized signing authority.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the preparation and transfer of loan packages to Loan Operations and Servicing teams.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach and strong commitment to service by supporting lenders and customers as needed.
  • Abide by current laws and organizational policies and procedures to promote a risk‑free environment free of sexual harassment and discriminatory behavior.
