Reports To: Branch Manager

Citizens National Bank has an excellent opportunity available in our Elida market for a Full Time Teller. In this role you will develop customer relationships by providing existing and potential customers with a full range of banking products and efficient and accurate services.

Responsibilities
  • Provides service to bank customers, including deposits, withdrawals, postings and information updates.
  • Receive deposits and cash checks for customers, verifying customer balances on any checks larger than the amount specified in the check cashing procedures, to ensure safety for the customer as well as the bank.
  • Maintain currency and coin supply as prescribed by bank policy, and be familiar with all security equipment and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all transactions recorded at the teller station are balanced while on duty.
  • Assist customers with their questions to enhance their relationship with the bank.
  • Assist customers by verifying balances, receiving changes of customer information and closing out accounts as requested.
  • Introduce new services to customers as appropriate, adhering to the bank s cross-selling policies and procedures for tellers.
  • Verify night depository bags and envelopes and maintain accurate transaction logs on these items, as assigned.
  • Assists customers with service requests, addressing complaints and researching account problems.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
  • Six to twelve months experience being responsible for cash and balancing.
  • Prefer at least 2 years  experience working with the public.
  • Must have experience working with computers and be familiar with basic types of software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must have stellar written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the bank s products and services, along with the applicable regulations and operating systems.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
