Location: Cincinnati, OH (Oakley Corporate Headquarters)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Membership & IRA Specialist to oversee the compliance, integrity, and operational efficiency of our Credit Union's membership and IRA functions. In this role, you will implement vital policies, conduct risk assessments, lead employee training programs, and perform internal audits to guarantee regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong grasp of credit union regulations, excellent auditing skills, and the diplomatic communication style needed to support both staff and members.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance
:
Maintain and update membership and IRA documents, applications, disclosures, and policy manuals. - Risk & Audit Management
:
Perform evaluations, run annual risk assessments, and conduct quarterly compliance quality control audits. - Staff Training
:
Lead employee training sessions and update teams regarding procedural changes and annual compliance education. - Data Integrity
:
Review file maintenance workflows to ensure proper separation of duties and accuracy across data platforms. - Relationship Management
:
Address member and vendor inquiries with diplomacy, ensuring a professional corporate reputation. - Reporting
:
Track and submit internal and external regulatory reports to supervising government agencies. - Financial Safety
:
Strictly adhere to all Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.
- Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience
: 1 to 3 years of similar or related financial institution experience. - Industry Knowledge
:
Strong understanding of Credit Union membership policies, IRA structures, and complex federal regulations. - Interpersonal Skills
:
Exceptional tact and diplomacy for managing highly sensitive, confidential financial documentation. - Technical Skills
:
Mastery of basic business equipment, standard office PCs, and core banking software. - Core Competencies
:
Proven project management abilities, sharp decision‑making skills, and extreme attention to detail. - $20-21 hourly rate
