Our client, an international real estate investment fund headquartered in the Nordics, is looking to add an Investment Associate to its Strategic Transactions Team in Frankfurt.

The Strategic Transactions team leads the firm’s most complex and high-profile investment situations, including structured transactions, joint venture formations, platform investments, and corporate buyout transactions (M&A and public-to-private) across sectors and geographies.

The firm invests across real estate, credit, and venture capital with a focus on creating more livable, sustainable, and people-centric cities. You will join a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial team where intellectual curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning are central to the culture. The role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions from the outset.

• Lead the evaluation and execution of complex investment opportunities across real estate, corporate and structured transactions
• Build and oversee detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials to support investment decision-making
• Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to senior management and the investment committee
• Take an active role in transaction execution processes, including due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and coordination with external advisors
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and implement strategic and operational value creation initiatives
• Support portfolio management activities and monitor performance across existing investments
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, market analysis, fundraising support, and broader business development efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with advisors, brokers, counter parties, financing partners, and industry stakeholders
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate

• Multiple years of relevant experience within real estate private equity, private equity, investment banking, strategic advisory, or top‑tier consulting
• Strong transaction execution experience with exposure to complex or structured investment situations preferred
• Excellent academic credentials in finance, economics, real estate, engineering, law, or a related discipline
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with strong commercial judgement
• Strong understanding of real estate markets and investment structures; broader cross-asset exposure is advantageous
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior management teams, advisors, and investment committees
• Highly driven, intellectually curious, and capable of operating independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Fluent in English and German
