Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Wright-Patterson AFB

Duties - Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security and operations security program. Interprets Air Force (AF), Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal regulations for information security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization.

- Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program. Interprets AF, DoD, and national regulations and laws for Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization.

- Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of multiple customer missions in order to facilitate the protection of classified and SCI access as required by contract performance.

- Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization. Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated organization's mission to advise commanders and or involved parties on security facilities/equipment/alarm installation, maintenance, and use. Requirements Conditions of employment

Qualifications This is a GG-11t12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11t12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11t12 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. REQUIRED:

Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices in security administration and intelligence, such as would be gained through extensive graduate study or experience, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of Information and Personnel Security.

Note:

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR

EDUCATION:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND

EDUCATION:

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
