Hourly wage: $28.25 - $33.75.
ScheduleFull-time, Varied work hours, 2nd/3rd shift and weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities- Protect lives & secure buildings & property; enforce rules & laws; patrol grounds on foot or in vehicle; conduct security checks; locate & search for AWOL residents; respond to incidents and assist with staff conflicts.
- Process employee workplace injury incidents, complete accident analysis, photograph, interview employees.
- Conduct emergency drills (fire, tornado, etc.); assist in training (CPR, first aid, etc.); coordinate with local law enforcement; make emergency calls.
- Perform safety checks on campus: extinguishers, elevators, water & freezer temperatures, power strips; complete environmental checklists; assist grounds office; transport residents for security reasons.
- Track and maintain required documentation & logs; assist with employee termination/exit processes; escort staff off‑grounds for security reasons.
- Answer phone inquiries, assist local law enforcement during emergencies, help with evacuations, record information, track calls/requests, type reports.
Possession of a certificate completing an approved basic peace officer training program or 20 years active duty as a peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of OH Revised Code; valid driver’s license. Must successfully pass the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits.
Probationary period: one year.
