  • Candidates with no experience or less than 2 years of experience: $83,817
  • Candidates with 2 years of experience: $103,244*
  • Candidates with 3 or more years of experience: $105,754*

• The Northbrook Police Department continuously accepts applications for entry level and lateral police officers.
• The Village of Northbrook currently has two (2) vacancies for the role of Police Officer.

• Candidates who achieve a passing score on the written exam and complete all of the application requirements by the deadline will be eligible to claim preference points.
• Candidates will have 10 days from the date Human Resources contacts them to claim preference points.
• A Final Eligibility List will be compiled following claims for preference points and candidates test scores will be valid for 1 year from date of test score.
• Candidates who complete the test after the established testing deadline will be placed on the next eligibility list cycle.
