Job DescriptionThe Opportunity… DYS is seeking a licensed Psychologist to oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.
Responsibilities- Develop and perform psychological assessments and evaluations
- Interview, administer tests, score and interpret tests
- Prepare reports based on findings
- Formulate treatment plans based on findings and develop and/or modify treatment as needed
- Attend unit treatment team meetings representing the psychological component
- Submit psychological impressions to team
- Confer with institution professionals regarding program
- Assure compliance with certifying/accrediting/professional agencies requirements
- Provide lead work/clinical supervision to student interns
- Provide and/or participate in individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy rehabilitation sessions
- Assure documentation of activities
- Prepare reports as directed and/or required; respond to emergency situations as needed; in some cases, perform lead work over contractual psychologist
