Role Overview
  • Support a multi‑functional team, including Intermediated licensing contract processing, renewals, group benefits, and pet licensing.
  • Maintain active licenses for DVM, NRS, NFGA, and NSM ensuring all renewal requirements are processed and meet required due dates.
  • Ensure state-level licensing compliance, including continuing education, entity updates, officer and DRLP updates, housekeeping changes, and maintenance requests.
  • Execute NPI (Pet) Contracts/addendums, partnering with internal and external partners to execute required documentation.
  • Provide additional support to Intermediated licensing contracting teams and licensing functions during periods of lower workload.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate state-required licensing records and ensure all updates are processed promptly.
  • Handle address and name changes, documentation updates, and ongoing compliance checks.
  • Conduct research-driven tasks to support regulatory and operational needs.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with state regulators.
  • Project management ability—manage tasks from initiation through completion using solid research skills.
  • Effective time management, multitasking, and prioritization within a small team environment.
  • Strong communication skills across internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience beyond day‑one processing; must have completed research‑based work or projects.

This position will be hired on a Success Flex basis.

Location requirements:
Must reside within 35 miles of one of the following locations:

  • Ohio: 1000 Yard St, Grandview Heights, OH, 43212
  • Arizona: 18700 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ, 85255

Work schedule:

2 days in office, 3 days remote.

Note:

This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

Job Description Summary

As an Analyst, you'll be responsible for processing complex applications, registrations, contracting, appointment renewals and cancellations and/or maintenance requests while adhering to state, federal and internal compliance regulations.

You will review, analyze and interpret licensing laws and regulations. You also may have opportunities to serve as a subject‑matter authority to other licensing associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews and processes moderately complex applications, registrations, and/or appointments and maintenance requests consistent with approved standards and practices accurately and in a timely manner. Orders and reviews producer/agency background information. Approves or advances for additional review based on internal guidelines.
  • Implements customary changes in insurance licensing requirements based on changes in laws, regulations or company policies. Maintains and updates regulatory related information, files across multiple distribution channels.
  • Maintains databases and related background information and files for assigned states, operation and/or distribution channel.
  • Receives incoming calls and requests from internal and external customers and responds in a manner that provides an outstanding customer experience. Advises and educates customers on licensing requirements and registration process, furnishes materials and submits forms and fees to state department of insurance and/or other regulatory agencies.
