Ayden Healthcare of Waterville and Wauseon are seeking an Occupational Therapist OT Part Time.
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in skilled nursing facilities. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Position will float between Ayden Healthcare of Waterville and Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon.
Duties- Assess patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual goals and capabilities.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improving daily living activities.
- Document patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide support in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on rehabilitation for individuals with varying disabilities.
- Engage in critical care settings to assist patients in regaining independence following acute medical events.
- Work closely with schools to support children with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate occupational therapy services.
- Proven experience in occupational therapy within skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with developing care plans and discharge planning processes for diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of physiology and its application in therapeutic practices is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals are required.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient service while fostering a supportive environment for rehabilitation.
