We’re hiring a compassionate, detail-oriented Receptionist to support our busy healthcare clinics and deliver an exceptional patient experience. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, helping ensure efficient operations through professional communication, accurate scheduling, and reliable administrative support. This position plays a key role in keeping our clinic running smoothly and maintaining high-quality patient care.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Greet patients with professionalism and warmth to create a positive first impression.
- Schedule and manage appointments in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Document and route phone and portal messages to appropriate staff for follow-up.
- Verify insurance, collect copayments, and update patient demographic information.
- Maintain an organized, welcoming reception area for all patients and visitors.
- Communicate wait times and delays, ensuring a clear and comfortable experience.
- Prepare end-of-day reports, deposits, and scheduling materials.
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient daily operations.
- Assist with scanning, labeling, and organizing documents in the EMR.
- Support no‑show and cancellation reduction by completing reminder calls and reports.
- Utilize EMR, Passport, and multi‑line phone systems to manage patient data and calls.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with professionalism and tact.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, multi‑line phone systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA best practices.
- Data entry accuracy and familiarity with appointment scheduling systems.
