CT Technologist (Per Diem)

PRN / hours variable / rotating holidays

Summary

Operates Computerized Tomography and radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. Ensures all aspects of patients’ records are processed properly to initiate procedures and results in a timely manner. Evaluates images with a radiologist, takes additional images as needed or requested, assists with invasive procedures, and performs other duties as training and skill level allow.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Formal

    Education Required:
    • Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
  • Experience & Training

    Required:
    • One (1) year of radiology technology experience preferred.
    • CT Registry preferred.
  • Other Skills, Competencies and

    Qualifications:
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients, apply and adjust restraining devices, and administer intravenous injections of contrast.
    • Ability to communicate verbally with patients, physicians, and other hospital employees.
    • Ability to lift and position patients.
    • Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures.
    • Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records.
    • Ability to initiate CPR and hold CPR certification.
    • Population–specific competency: able to interact effectively with diverse patient populations respecting their self‑respect and dignity.
  • Level of Physical Demands:
    • Heavy:
      Exerts 50‑100 pounds of force occasionally, 25‑50 pounds of force frequently, and 10‑20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.

    Exerts substantial physical effort as described in the qualifications.

    Compensation

    Hourly rate: $42.50 – $42.50. This range is base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Factors such as relevant experience and geographical location are considered.
