We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeast and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities.

All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.

We are seeking a part‑time Dietary Aide in our Youth Residential Treatment Center to prepare nutritious meals for our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for planning menus, purchasing ingredients, and preparing meals that meet the dietary needs of our young residents.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.26 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.

Responsibilities
  • Plan weekly menus in collaboration with the dietician, ensuring that meals meet the nutritional needs of the residents.
  • Purchase ingredients and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary items are available.
  • Prepare and cook meals, following recipes and ensuring that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency.
  • Ensure that food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents, including allergies, intolerances, and religious or cultural preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Train and supervise staff to help as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and positive environment for the residents.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a cook, with knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.
  • Person‑In‑Charge (level one) Certification in Food Protection Training through the Ohio Department of Health.
  • Understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for work in QRTP facility.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a hot and humid kitchen environment.
