Location: Northwood
Job Responsibilities
- Primarily involved in various testing activities
- Conduct study according to written instructions
- May be responsible for extractions, test article and control preparation, animal holding and preparation, and solution preparation
- May be responsible for chain of custody, delivery of samples, filing, and sample distribution/shipping
- May perform bio‑burden testing, general microbiology testing, and production and shipping of biological indicators
- May provide on‑the‑job training
- Accurately collects and records raw data in logbooks and on worksheets
- Maintain clean workspace, testing supplies, and equipment
- May be responsible for checking laboratory equipment, being on‑call, and responding to continuous monitoring alarms; if needed, respond according to criteria outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
- May be required to operate autoclave
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–5 years laboratory work experience preferred
- Awareness of applicable guidelines and regulations including USP, ISO, CTFA, and FSA
- Knowledge of metric system, NAMSA GLP and/or GMP testing, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation
- Ability to work in a GLP/GMP environment
- Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, feel or cut using various tools, and reaching with hands and arms
- Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Physical requirements include frequently lifting up to 25 pounds (12kg) or more on occasion
- Employee must be able to talk and hear
- May be required to be on‑call for continual equipment monitoring; response as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
