EMT – Life Flight Network – WatervilleJob Summary
The EMT will provide care and transportation of emergency and non‑emergency patients in the pre‑hospital environment and at scenes, performing Basic EMT level care as defined by the State EMS scope of practice. The EMT will operate an ambulance safely and efficiently, maintain current certification and complete continuing education.
Essential Functions- Respond to calls and perform patient assessments
- Provide basic airway management
- Perform CPR and use AED
- Participate in required trainings
- Provide proper care and safe, efficient transport
- Maintain reports and records
- Care for vehicle and equipment
- Maintain confidentiality and support patient/family rights
- Serve as a patient advocate
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Vocational/Technical Degree (preferred)
Licensure/CertificationBasic EMT certification in state of practice (required)
Valid State Driver’s License (required)
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) (required within 3 months of hire)
Experience1 year of incident‑free driving (required)
1‑3 years of experience (preferred)
