Position: STNA / CNA - Home Health Agency (FT, Weekdays)
Location: Lucasville

Job Title

STNA / CNA / Home Health Aide (HHA) / PCA

Location

Portsmouth / Lucasville, OH and surrounding areas in Scioto County. Up to a 30‑minute client travel radius from your home is required; up to 45‑ or 60‑minute radius is highly desired.

Employment Type

Full‑Time, Long‑term (2+ years at Home Care Network)

Required Schedule

Weekdays – Day Shift (some flexibility on start & stop times)

Responsibilities
  • Personal care, hygiene, and ADL assistance
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Pro‑active observation and excellent electronic documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to follow a written Plan of Care
  • Supporting client independence and safety
  • Professional, caring, and compassionate behavior toward clients, client families, and colleagues
Schedule Options
  • Weekdays – during the day
  • Full‑time desired (will consider part‑time based on availability)
  • Local travel within Scioto County
Requirements / Non‑Negotiables
  • Minimum of 1 year paid in‑home care or caregiving experience
  • STNA and CNA highly desired (or HHA/PCA with 3+ years consistent experience)
  • Active CPR and FA certification with documentation
  • 18 years of age or older with an active driver’s license, state , or reliable transportation
  • Reliable transportation to all scheduled visits within the stated travel radius
  • Exceptional on‑time and attendance record and consistent availability aligned to chosen schedule (PT/FT/Hybrid)
  • Willingness and ability to perform required physical demands (including lifting/carrying up to 30–50 lbs. occasionally)
  • Consent and ability to pass a State and Federal background check (including fingerprints)
  • Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care

Starting Pay Rate

$15 – $18 per hour (based on certifications, experience, schedule and travel availability, work history, references, and overall fit)

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, stopping/bending, infrequent squatting/kneeling, and balancing
  • Weight handled: push/force 1–20 lbs. frequently, 20–30 lbs. occasionally; lift/handle 1–20 lbs. frequently, 20–30 lbs. occasionally, 30–50 lbs. infrequently
Essential Functions / Areas of Accountability
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Assistance in ambulation or exercises
  • Personal care activities: bathing, shampooing, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing
  • Household services: meal preparation/feeding, laundry, light housekeeping
  • Assist with medication administration under RN supervision (open container or pill caddy, no administration)
  • Follow infection control policies, including hand washing
  • Report changes in client condition or needs to the RN
  • Document care and complete required client records
  • Promote personal safety and a safe environment by observing infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations
  • Use equipment safely; notify supervisor of educational needs
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, staff meetings, and conferences
  • Treat patients and families with respect; maintain confidentiality
  • Accept and fulfill agency assignments with good judgment
  • Participate in required in‑service programs to meet compliance and identify learning needs
  • Perform other related duties as deemed necessary
