Role Description

The Clubhouse Generalist (Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist) is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Amelia, Ohio. This role provides direct support to Clubhouse members through a recovery‑oriented, strengths‑based approach. The Clubhouse Generalist works alongside members to support engagement, skill development, community integration, and progress toward individualized goals. Responsibilities include facilitating the daily operations of the Clubhouse, engaging members in meaningful activities and the work‑ordered day, providing behavioral health support, assisting with goal planning, connecting members to community resources, and documenting services provided.

The position builds supportive relationships with members while promoting independence, choice, and self‑advocacy; collaborates with team members and community partners; identifies barriers; supports wellness goals; and ensures members receive appropriate resources.

Responsibilities
  • Engage members through relationship‑building, active listening, and recovery‑focused support
  • Facilitate and participate in Clubhouse activities, including the work‑ordered day and community‑based activities
  • Support members in identifying personal goals related to wellness, employment, education, relationships, and community involvement
  • Provide skill‑building support and interventions aligned with individualized service plans
  • Assist members with accessing community resources and navigating systems of care
  • Provide case management and care coordination support as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with the Clubhouse team, behavioral health providers, and community partners
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, quality improvement activities, and organizational initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred OR three years of experience in the behavioral health field REQUIRED
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges preferred
  • Understanding of recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed, and person‑centered approaches
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and professional documentation
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also demonstrating initiative and independence
  • Knowledge of community resources and behavioral health systems preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic health record systems
  • Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
