Location: Navarre

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at the Navarre Dialysis Center in Navarre, OH.

Job Overview

Dialysis Experience Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate!

Operational Hours
  • Monday - Saturday 4:00am - 6:00pm (opener typically starts at 3:30)
  • Clinic has 7 chairs meaning 1 RN and 1 Dialysis Tech per shift
  • PCT shifts: 3-4 days/week with minimum of two Saturdays/month; may start as early as 3:00 am
  • Training period hours 32-40 per week; thereafter 32-40 hours per week
  • Must have a flexible schedule and work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • 25%:
    Receive patient into treatment area; weigh patient, take vitals pre‑ and post‑dialysis; document all dialysis flow sheets; perform and record vital signs; obtain blood samples and culture specimens.
  • 25%:
    Under guidance of nurse/preceptor, set up and monitor dialysis machines and RO water system; respond to alarms; perform safety checks; dismantle, clean, and disinfect equipment per procedures.
  • 20%:
    Collect patient data and report to nurse/preceptor; monitor vascular access status; document observations; report parameters; initiate dialysis via approved access.
  • 20%:
    Review dialysis prescription; assess patient condition; evaluate compliance with dietary or medication regimen; document observations.
  • 5%:
    Perform clerical duties such as filing, lab requisitions, scheduling, answering phones, ordering supplies, billing, copying, faxing, data entry, and maintaining patient charts.
Requirements
  • Reliable, punctual, team player with a strong attitude and desire to care for patients
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable working around blood, needles, acid, and bicarbonate
  • Physical and mental capability for long hours (some shifts >12 hours)
  • Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics as needed
  • Dialysis certification is a plus (e.g., BONENT, Certified Hemodialysis Technician)
