Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1 (Correctional Reception Center)

Compensation & Schedule$35.68 per hour, Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm.
Responsibilities and Duties- Manages day‑to‑day operation of the Recovery Services program.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures.
- Assists with program budget planning.
- Coordinates and participates in quality assurance activities, when applicable.
- Performs personnel management tasks including recruitment, interviewing, training, and hiring recommendations.
- Supervises employees assigned to the recovery services program.
- Directs and manages treatment activities of Recovery Services staff.
- Provides in‑service training, evaluations, and maintains required data documents.
- Provides alcohol and drug (AOD) treatment services to incarcerated men and women (treatment planning, progress notes, AOD education, individual & group counseling).
- Serves as institution representative on statewide AOD committees; conducts professional, law‑abiding conduct per ODRC & DBH Standards of Employee Conduct.
- Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, assists with public relations, serves on committees, performs security functions.
At least 12 months of experience providing clinical supervision in behavioral healthcare services (e.g., counseling, group services, crisis intervention) and the following licensure options:
- Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
- Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
- Licensed Registered Nurse holding a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry, issued by Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Or 12 months as Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2 or 65832.
- Or 12 months as Correctional Program Coordinator, 69323.
Licensure must be current and documented.
Training and DevelopmentCompletion of continuing professional education for license renewal pursuant to Ohio Revised Code. New hire training at Corrections Training Academy, Orient, OH (approximately 4 weeks).
